To be fair, it's published in Wigan Today- the relevance is really in the fact that he is exactly that, ex-Wigan. If this were a national paper/website, I think you'd have a point, but I reckon that you are looking for offence where there is none.... Not correct Many a time I see articles like this...

To be fair, it's published in Wigan Today- the relevance is really in the fact that he is exactly that, ex-Wigan.

If this were a national paper/website, I think you'd have a point, but I reckon that you are looking for offence where there is none....

..which means it's closer to civilisation than Whitehaven or Workington...and Barrow for that matter. It's also closer to RL heartland than London, Paris etc which was my basic point. I've said for years that Penrith would be the place to start a franchise in Cumbria.
