Season ticket renewals: 100 year old and Latics questions…
I just had a couple of questions… First, my aunt is 100 next May. Having been jumping around like a teenager after the Grand Final last week she is still going strong (and is a huge fan of Jai Field, whom she finds “lovely to watch”), I am thinking of letting the club know, to see if they would make...

Re: Morgan Smithies set for NRL move as Wigan Warriors forward heads down under
I would be happy if he stayed, and agree that a team needs hard workers, which was his role. I wish him well, but am not losing any sleep over his leaving us. I think KPP is a bigger loss, but am looking forward to seeing what Walters can do. I will be beyond astonished if Owen Farrell signs, as tha...

Re: Morgan Smithies set for NRL move as Wigan Warriors forward heads down under
I wish him well. I may be out of step, but isn’t he simply an effective work horse. How many tries does he score, or create and how many clean breaks? He might have developed into a ball playing 13, but he might not. I think the club has shown since Peet took over that it knows exactly what it’s doi...

I don’t want to labour the point, but signing for Canberra is not the same as signing for the Roosters. The winters are grim, and the place is dull dull dull. The lifestyle in Standish has more going for it than Canberra.

Re: Wigan Warriors coach makes World Club Challenge admission
I think we could fill the Etihad for it. There must have been 40,000 of us there on Saturday.

I agree. I keep thinking that he will suddenly unlock his talent, and have a glorious end to his career, southportcdm wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 7:15 pm Cheers, Chariots, pleased to hear that Rock will be with us for another year. I'm sure he could still prove to be very useful to us.

Re: Morgan Smithies set for NRL move as Wigan Warriors forward heads down under
I think he’s to small to sustain a successful career in the NRL for long. As I think we are seeing with Bateman, who is another who plays above his weight. A player like Farrell (or Field in the backs) can thrive year after year here because the general size of players and speed of the game is slowe...

Re: 2024
Still basking in the new chapter of our glorious history that the team wrote on Saturday, but thinking about 2024, I would be interested in people’s insights into who might emerge next year. I am assuming that are veterans Powell and Isa will join KPP, Cust and King in exiting. Plus, I guess, Thornl...

Re: Wigan squad for Grand Final
I rate Havard massively, and recall that he has come back seamlessly from injury. I would pick him ahead of one of Isa, Powell or Hill (in that order) from last week’s 17. We can travel with considerable hope!
