Re: Missing posters!!

<t>We're pretty much all Wigan at heart, aren't we? I suspect there are a couple of genuine trolls who post on here, but most of us are simply in a scale from doom and gloom ers to it'll be alright on the night ers. It's part of the rich chequered tapestry of life. <br/> What would be wonderful woul...

<r><QUOTE author="Exiled Wiganer"><s>[quote="Exiled Wiganer"]</s>If the bookies make them favourites, then they are favourites, but I can't say I'm concerned. Re: Team Talk

<t>I like the idea of 2 team talks, one to inspire like the excellent post further up, and another to each player and each group so they know exactly what is required of them. I was reading an article about a football manager who liked his men to be "angry", as that made them faster, stronger and mo...

Re: Wigan Name 19 - Lockers Fit To Play

In a way, I quite like the set up where we start with 3 props particularly against wire, who look to dominate early on. That said, if there's no risk it's a massive step up from having Logan on the bench.

Re: Sad Departure

I thought I named 7 props for next year, but that might not be enough.
This year we played 10 props, but 5 played far more than the rest - Lauaki, Prescott, Spencer, Greenwood and Powell between them started 5 and were subs 17 times. Hardly a heavy workload to share around.

Re: Sad Departure

<t>DaveO,<br/> I agree with a lot of that. On innate talent, they must have had that. Richards was played out of position initially, but highly regarded in Oz. Carmont was a late developer. having watched a lot of Leuluai in London, I was astonished we signed him (he showed less talent than Sarginso...

Re: Sad Departure

<t>While looking back at the 2010 team compared with the 2013 team, I was thinking about Pat, Carmont and Tommy. All of these players were widely considered not good enough either when signed or, in Pat's case, after his first season with us. All of them were considered huge losses when they left. M...

Re: Six Warriors in England World Cup Squad

<t>I think McNamara was committed to Chase and Sinfield 2 years ago and has had to stick with that whether they are clearly better than the rest, simply because he wants to build the team around them. I can follow the logic, even though I have my doubts. It is very important for Wigan that the World...
