Re: Roberts problem?
<t>Roberts has not yet pulled on a jersey yet he is the subject of concern - should IL have offered him a two year or four year contract? Is he faster than Calders? Will he score more tries than Calders? Will he see out his contract or return home early to Aus? Will he cost too much? Is he coming fo...

Re: Lockyer
So, if we are signing Lockyer and Amos Roberts who are we releasing? Don't forget if we release a player then he will be entitled to severance pay which will count against the salary cap!

<t>We didn't, he decided to join Auckland Warriors! Thereafter, he took half of our team with him. In short, he contributed to the demise of the greatest RL team on earth.<br/> <br/> After saying that, John was a fantastic coach and a great guy. I don't condemn him for making the change (all of us w...

Re: Craig Hall?
Melbourne Storm has signed a host of players who were not good enough for other teams and look where it has taken them - three consecutive Grand Finals!
A player with potential. a good work ethic, commitment and who could fit into the teams plans should always be considered.

Re: Lesley Vainikolo
The trouble is big Les is permanently injured, he hardly trains through the week. There is no doubt about his class though and it's a waste of his talent playing for Gloucester.

Re: Stuart Fielden
He will be lucky to get 30 mins out of Fats. He has less game time for the Stains than Feka has for us, yet look at the amount of stick that's been dished out to Feka!
At least Stuart will not be blamed for our failures.

Re: Unsuccessful player bids
<t>I don't think £120k is high for a player at the top, but I do think that £200k plus is! Half of Wigan's salary cap was taken by six players last season thereby leaving little to share around amongst everyone else! Not all six have left the employ of Wigan Warriors.<br/> <br/> By the way Joel To...

Re: Unsuccessful player bids
<t>Spot on Weststand Rich. We are still paying the price for paying a small number of players too much money. I am sure that IL would like to throw £120k contracts around, but the reality would be that we would have to join a 7 a side league. Until we get the really big earners off contract we are ...
