Re: RL In Danger of Becoming a Laughing-Stock

Must be going mad. Put Ganson when I meant Silverwood. Still, perhaps I could beome a RL referee if I can make mistakes like that.

RL In Danger of Becoming a Laughing-Stock

<t>After the hopelessly inept display by Thaler yesterday, what happens in the other semi?<br/> <br/> Carvell falls to ground on back after half-tackle - hands are laid on him - ball-carrying arm touches the ground. Carvell then stretches over from lying on back, twists and touches the ball down. No...

Re: Wigan v Leeds

<t>I can't say that we deserved to win because defensively we were so poor but (and I know it won't happen) - if Thaler is appointed to referee us again this year - the club should protest.<br/> <br/> The forward pass missed - the bizarre penalty given when Hall offloaded and the play on when McGuir...

Re: Gelling no good?

<t>I'm afraid everything we all feared came to pass. Directly responsible for 2 Leeds tries and no real idea of positional play. All summed up at the end when Hock desperately burst to the wing on the last tackle looking for a break - Gelling was never in a position to take a pass.<br/> <br/> Give h...

<r><QUOTE author="God"><s>[quote="God"]</s>The power of suggestion is just that... powerfull. Re: V Wakey.

<t>I know posters on here have distinct opinions about Sky & their coverage (personally, the only reason we have Sky at all is to watch RL) but the BBC bit on Josh sums up their view on RL, as with all sports. It has to be personality-driven with the focus on players off the field. Nice to see J...

Re: V Wakey.

BBC SuperLeague show is on BBC iplayer at the moment - with Nobby, Ian Millward and that very strange lady with the deep voice who does RL for the Beeb.

Re: V Wakey.

It's what makes Sam such a special player and it will put a doubt in Mathers' mind when he plays against him next time and maybe in other full-backs now they've seen it. That moment of hesitation might just cause a winning try to be scored in the future.

Re: Gelling out, Thornley in.

<t>To be really ruthless - any time a winger is bundled into touch - it's his fault. Good wingers get a ball near the line and if there's no clear road down that line will transfer their weight to the inside foot and look to dip the shoulder, so if they do get tackled - they will stay in the field o...
