Re: Squad for Leigh

I thought that if the ball was on an arm that was touching the ground then it was a try. Have the rules changed or have I been wrong all my life? (and I have scored a few like that too, so it can't just have been me!!) That's what I always thought to. Ball or ball carrying arm down equals grounded.

Re: 4 More Years of Sir Bevan

Great news! Best SO in the comp! We'll have to make room for a 6th star on the 2026 kit!

Re: Consistency of officiating

Saints attacking drive that lead to their score included a makinson/percival (I get them mixed up) step-over PTB when that player had been warned and already given up a penalty. It was a really obvious step over with not even a hint of a foot motion towards the ball. The ref should have been very mu...

Re: Disciplinary

Bryne led with his shoulder (just) into Percival head so yes bang to rights I fear. And I’ve just watched it now at no point whatsoever does the video ref mention all Kendall say no mitigation so red card so enough with this fantasy of the video ref saying it’s yellow he didn’t. I thought it was me...

Re: Consistency of officiating

Sorry, this was in reply to Wigan forever 1985 We were in the corner, directly in line with French's try. It wasn't dubious at all, just watch Benniisons and Welsbys reactions, they knew it was a try. The ball bounced back up to his hand on the slow mo replay imo only a fraction of a second and wou...

Yeah, dodds kicks out with his left foot. Ref says feet were planted. That's just wrong. Yellow card all day long.

I would hope things will improve as the year goes on.

Re: Consistency of officiating

Whether deliberate or not, they all increase risk of brain injury symptoms in later life. Its going to be tough to change techniques to reduce head impacts, but you've got to start somewhere. You're not going to just fix it overnight.

Re: Disciplinary

Yet the Video Referee advised Kendall it was a yellow card incident only on the day. People are saying this, but all I heard on sky was the commentators say the the video ref was talking about mitigating factors. They could easily have been saying "no mitigating factors". Which I imagine ...
