Re: How can Rugby League be grown?

I also agree with Mike's comments about trying to make the game more open. As defences get better organised and fitness improves, the rules need to be tweaked to keep that balance between attack and defence, and to encourage risk-taking, adventurous play. But the quality of play alone won't pull in ...

Re: 19-man vs Warrington

I'd guess that 2 from Hankinson, Partington and Shorrocks will miss out, with the other on the bench. If Sarge is slightly doubtful of lasting 80 mins, could be Hankinson on bench.

Re: Williams

One possible factor in George deciding to go could be that Canberra fans tend to support their players? Just wondering. Yeah right, he’s going to up sticks and move to the other side of the world because he gets a bit of stick. I’d be emigrating to Mars if I was that soft. Shit happens. Careers are...

Re: LENAGAN CONFIDENT OF WIGAN REVIVAL

The thing is, Warrington will no doubt want to batter us. We can’t improve by that much to turn them over whilst they entertain the upper echelons of the league table. Austin will have a field day Hope Williams can totally outplay him, will definitely be stronger than him defensively. Much will dep...

Re: Tautai's three game ban

The slow motion is pretty damning. There is a definite pause between Tautai going onto his back and kicking out. It didn't look good at the time and he did make contact with the face. However, three matches is a bit harsh. Possibly they took into account the late near-shoulder charge on the kicker ...

Shaun Edwards and defence

https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/47518623 By Jeremy Guscott, who famously bottled the cross-code challenge in the 90s because it wasn't in his contract. Nevertheless, it's interesting that he praises Wales' defence very highly, crediting SE for his effect after 11 years with Wales. The picture...

Surely it was Wire on New Year's Day? I can't remember us playing anyone but Saints on Boxing Day.
