Re: Powell wants to finish career at Wigan

I'm not sure I would swap him either, but what does seem clear is that Clark is playing in a side that is starting to hit its straps and look like a effective team outfit in attack and defence. Sam Powell does not have that luxury right now.

Re: 21-man squad vs Hull KR

To be fair, most of the successful NRL sides manage without this mythical ball-playing 13 that everyone seems to think is so essential to rugby league (not saying it's a bad thing, though, of course). I'd settle for Jason Taumalolo, though! Obviously it depends on your squad. Does anyone else ...

You’d have thought so wouldn’t you?
Maybe the beginning and end of Lam's 'attacking style' is having French at f-b rather than Hardaker?

Re: Liam Marshall facing up to a year on the sidelines

What’s up with putting Joe Burgess there? Think Dom came back a week too soon if I’m honest, he was in a bad way emotionally when I spoke to him 😢 Nothing wrong with Burgess on the wing, of course'he should have played last night. Thanks for writing that so I don't have to!

Yeah, pretty much. I always liked the look of Shorrocks, and I thought he did pretty good again today, but he's a back-rower, not a prop, isn't he? Out-thought and out-performed by a very decent side, for all our failings.

Re: Liam Marshall facing up to a year on the sidelines

That's awful news for Liam and all of us. Every good wish, Marshy! It's a shame that the opportunity hasn't been there to get young Hanley a bit more battle-hardened, but the consensus appears to be that he isn't ready yet. I can see Lam putting Gildart on the wing, maybe?

Re: 21-man squad vs Hull KR

On the upside, Powell's boys are getting a bit of a tanking too so far!

Even before today's shambles, we have looked some distance from being the best side in the comp.
