Who is the oldest former Wigan player?

Billy Boston has just had his 85th Birthday.
Is there an older surviving Wigan player?

Re: Poor Challenge Cup final turnout blamed as RFL post loss of £327,000

The RFL have contributed to this themselves. They insisted on having the C Cup final on August Bank Holiday weekend when the West Coast Mail Rail Line was shut for maintenance. It's now convenient to blame someone else for their own incompetence and their total lack of marketing the final. There sh...

Re: History made: Belinda Sharpe to become first female to referee an NRL game

Hope she does well! Can't see why not, and after her first game she said the players were very supportive.

Re: Lancashire Dialect

As some of you will know I'm a 'Marra frae Whiteheven'! However, I lived in Warrington from 1981-1985 when I worked for BNFL at Risley. Re: Super League clubs

The truth often hurts and he’s right as far as I am concerned. The response is laughable. Securing and retaining the worlds best players is a priority for SL? I am sure it is but I’ll have some of whatever Elstone is on if he thinks there’s currently much chance of it doing that. My thoughts exactl...

Re: Leeds V Wigan

I've kind of written off this season whatever happens over the next few weeks but I was pleased that we beat a really unpleasant Leeds side. It comes to something when Ferres isn't even the nastiest player on view. I really liked the fact that Smithies wasn't having any of the spoiling tactics and ...

Re: HKR Supporters

They're a disgrace to the game! While waiting for the traffic to disperse on the car park, there were fans screaming & bauling about Wigan owning the the RFL & the referees! They weren't just abusing Wigan fans but the referees as they were leaving the stadium building. There were women &am...

Re: Where is it going wrong?

Not resolving the coaching situation. Buying players on the cheap . Players not good enough . Forwards puff pastry. Keeping hold of players past their sell by date. Not replacing fitness staff . Trying to run the club on a budget. Not having any Marquee players will we have any when Williams leaves...
