Re: Scrums could be eliminated under new law recommendations

I think that we will notice the difference because the ball will be in play more. My worry is that we will get more time to run around like headless chickens. If we could find another way of adding another variable to play we could be onto a winner. I vote for all of the forwards being made to run a...

Re: Bobble Goulding blueprint for superleague

To most fans a merger almost always sees one club being destroyed so that another club can continue because, unless a new stadium is built, one of the previous venues is used. It worked in Australia only on the back of the titanic struggle between Packer and Murdock and because money was available. ...

Re: Cross Code Challenge v Bath 1996.

The players may be superhuman but even that would have been beyond them. One of my worries is that union may decide to have the same season as us given that they have certainly learned a great deal from us which has made their game more entertaining especially in drier conditions.

Re: Cross Code Challenge v Bath 1996.

When I watched the Union game I was very aware that Bath could have simply played to their strengths and crushed us at set pieces. They played to the spirit of the event and did enough to win without crippling our front row in the scrums. There is a reason that today in RU the highest payed players ...

Re: What Are The Odds?

I know that we tend to clutch at straws and set up false gods when it comes to possible saviours of the game but can anybody put Lachlan Lams ability into some kind of context. Last I heard was that he was playing in the second string competition and not really making waves in the senior set up. Are...

Re: The rest of the season

Problem is that by then a lot of players will be out of contract and may even have signed for new teams. It also throws up salary cap issues that will need to be addressed.

Makes sense when the alternative might be tossing a coin.

Re: People are just fecking mental!

Just been to my local Aldi to get a few things in. Every shelf has a sign saying that you cannot buy more than four of anything because of panic buying. I wonder how many people went in for one of something and saw the sign and came out with four of everything?

Re: People are just fecking mental!

I think that the TV companies have missed a trick. With the death of Max Von Sydow this would have been the perfect time to show "The Seventh Seal". They could have followed it up with other relevant and uplifting themed films like 28 Days Later.
