The first three rounds will be the end of the world mind. :D
I think they have got it just about right now.

Very true, but let’s hope the tackling height is not reduced further.

Re: Squad v Castleford

One for the referees on this forum; was Nsemba’s tackle on Charbel Tasipale a hip drop? No but I did wonder at the time and I thought Lingard was saying hip drop to someone on the sideline. I'm assuming it was checked at the time but Jnr. Didn't make any contact with his his legs. He may be warned ...

Re: Squad v Castleford

I do agree with the number of points conceded being a bit too high at the moment but, 14 last night and 22 at London when the team was tweaked is quite a telling stat. I do think, once it gets serious and we have the strongest team out on the pitch, the defence will be much tighter. It’s a long sea...

Re: Squad v Castleford

One thing seems to have been missed in all the analysis - though Josie touched on it by referring to changes in the spine: At any point in the season, we could have enforced changes due to injury. If this means changes to the spine, then Hampshire is first in line to come in. Yet he's had very litt...

No I agree, but he did not apply the rules to the ruck.

Re: Squad v Castleford

My take. We went away from our normal game plan. We didn’t take the ball down the middle and take the juice out of Cas, we moved the ball wide far too often without earning the right. Velle didn’t police the ruck efficiently. Leeming’s dummy half play was poor. Field’s pace and threat gives the halv...

Great grandad Harry ball wrote: Fri Apr 19, 2024 10:43 pm Agree, was much better tonight ( wasn't hard though!) but still allowed a very slow play the ball, with plenty mauling going on.
Exactly, Quick play the ball, like last week, and Castleford get blown off the park again. But, on the whole, Vella was much improved.

It’s his younger brother Moto.
