Re: Average Super League attendances during the 2024 season so far

That gives 9,857 average across the league, albeit without Hull KR.

Imagine, for example, a resurgent Bradford replacing London - it would surely give a 10,000+ average.

Re: 100 years since our first Challenge Cup!

Great stuff, Marc . . . Thank you. It made me realise that it's only 5 years from us celebrating the first final at Wembley! I won't spoil it for anyone who wants to wait til 2029, but the first try scorer ever in a Wembley final was Syd Abram. Syd was born on Liverpool Road in Hindley and played ce...

Re: 4 More Years of Sir Bevan

Must credit Kris Radlinski for his part in Bevan making this decision. It seems to me that the support he had from the club over the past year or more - time off, help with visas for his dad and brother - will have played a big part in him deciding to sign the new contract.

Re: How can we improve for next year?

Depends how long Willie and Faz last. I can see this season being Isa's last, and maybe one more year for Liam. Then there is the question of how Walters and Nsemba perform. Both look good, but still unproved to a certain extent. As has been said, Ellis is wearing 13 and playing the third prop role....

Re: Super League round six attendances

Interesting that the London crowd figure isn't given, it looked like a crowd of max. 500 on TV. Think you’re being generous at 500 to be honest, while watching it I took the abstract view that the yellow in the seats where people and that way it’s a very healthy crowd  ; If you rely on awa...

Re: Options v Leigh

Ellis to prop, Chan to LF and Hill on the bench. Yes i agree we dont need to be to dependant on ellis as a 13 as he only plays as a prop anyway. We are the weakest we have been for years in the backrow with injuries and age.I hit on this pre season as faz and isa are past there best to be honest.Pit...

Re: Consistency of officiating

I'm not trying to stir things here, or criticise anyone, but in 61 years watching RL and Wigan, fans have always complained about refs. Two incidents I remember: as a 13 or 14 year old kid, I was ranting about a ref giving a try against us: "It wasn't a try!!!" Bloke next to me (a Wiganer)...
