Mike Danson in Private Eye.
The latest edition of Private Eye has a piece on Mike Danson of this parish. It's headed "Danson with the Tsars", and questions the relationship between his company, GlobalData, and a Moscow based company, Dbase.pro, which offers similar services to Russian companies and uses the same comp...

Re: Squad v Castleford
One for the referees on this forum; was Nsemba’s tackle on Charbel Tasipale a hip drop? Thankfully no case to answer so common sense has prevailed. By the way, there’s an interesting video on YouTube by the NRL which explains what is a hip drop and what isn’t. Where is the link please? https://www....

Re: Squad v Castleford
One thing seems to have been missed in all the analysis - though Josie touched on it by referring to changes in the spine: At any point in the season, we could have enforced changes due to injury. If this means changes to the spine, then Hampshire is first in line to come in. Yet he's had very littl...

I believe that was the day Henderson Gill scored for Bradford and was cheered by Wigan fans all the way back down the touchline.cherry toffee wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:50 pm If memory serves me right it was 1992 semi final versus Bradford at Bolton, that was the last time we played a Yorkshire team in a semi in Lancashire

Re: CCSF
According to Google, Huddersfield is 76 miles from Hull and 41 miles from Wigan. Doncaster is 47 from Hull and 83 from Wigan. I guess the size of the ground is better for TV, and that cost and availability have to be factored in too. Having us playing at St Helens would cause outrage amongst the Rov...

Re: Warrington v Saints
A few observations: • Williams was superb. Maybe the fact that he didn't choose to come back to Wigan colours some people's view? • Good to see crucial mistakes from Lomax, Benison, Walmesley etc. And wonder boy getting wound up, but that's not unusual. • After his minor fracas with Welsby, I'm sure...

Re: Isa injury
I appreciate the "journeyman" type player (or whatever name you'd apply) as I think every good team not only has them, but needs them. I think this originates from bringing my lads up - one of them played 2nd row for Churwell juniors. He wasn't great on attack, and didn't get enough passes...

Re: Average Super League attendances during the 2024 season so far
Halifax used to be well supported in the late 80s.They always brought a massive away following at central park I used to love the games v Halifax. As you say, big away following on the Kop at Central Park and great atmosphere at those games and Thrum Hall was a treat for any of our younger fans who...
