Re: Can we finish top?
I think the chances of Catalans slipping up against Wire have increased. They may have a kick up the backside now that Powell has gone. There's too much quality in that Warrington side not to have a response. There are other games that could trip them up though. Wakefield are in good form at the mom...

Re: Wigan Squad
The second half was turned when cust came off the bench He was outstanding O’Neil is going to suffer burn out his performances have dropped in quality when playing 80 mins I didn't think Cust had much impact on the game overall, we'd already ended the first half and started the second half well bef...

Re: Stand Off
I said potentially. If he's not played the role before and he's got this good, this soon, imagine where he could be next season. Whilst there are some good moments, some assists, some good kicks, great defence, the areas he is lacking will not come in one year. It takes years and years of practice ...

Re: Wigan Squad
I thought it was a decent performance overall but we were a bit sluggish for most of the first half. Some of that may be down to the fact they had their 3 most dangerous middles on for most of that time. I thought once Amone and Mulhern were off the field our pack got on top. Up to that point French...

You're right! I'm thinking of the old rules. I'd forgotten that they simplified it a couple of years ago.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 9:54 am Where is this EU/Kolpak/UK passport holders coming from? I thought we had now moved to 7 non-federation trained players. Cust and Mago will not be at Wigan next season.

Re: 2024 line up
I can't think of many decent second row forwards that are available, unless there's someone from the NRL that may be released. I think most of the better Super League players are already under contract and despite the fee for Dupree I don't think we'll be throwing transfer fees around like crazy. I ...

Re: Stand Off
I think one of the problems is whoever is at fullback you're relying on other people to get the ball to him in the right places. Whether it was Field or French we haven't always been great this year at getting the ball to the fullback in a position where they can actually cause problems. That was on...

Re: 2024 line up
We still need a new stand off or centre (depending on where Keighran plays) and a recognised back row forward, as Walters hasn't played second row for a couple of years and he seems to have grown into a prop in that time. If I'm not mistaken we already have 5 of 5 permitted overseas players, which m...
