Maybe those who think Lam had given up by half-time were right; we didn't even bother trying short kick-offs (something I'd like to see a lot more of, anyway, it adds variation and excitement to the game).

After poor form this season, it's seems a lot of us were thinking that Burgess should be dropped, and Marshall's general improvement would have meant that at least we could find a temporary (?) home for French on the wing. People *are* searched on the way in, but mostly just women, as every bag was looked into as far as I could see. Those flares look fairly small, and I guess one would go in a jacket pocket.

Does anyone really defend it? They are crazy if they do. Stewards at games never seem inclined to take any action, though, they didn't tonight any more than they did at Wakey the other week.

I'm a believer that having at least some SL on terrestrial TV (more than the current brief highlights on TSLS) would be a big long-term benefit to the sport.

We see it with the cricket: even the Ashes, if it's not on terrestrial, just isn't on the public's radar in the same way.
