Re: Best set of Wigan backs?
Yep, I totally agree with you. If someone had told me 10 years ago that I'd be gutted about Lee going to Australia I'd have laughed at them

Re: Best set of Wigan backs?
The team of 88-95 were rugby entertainers. Fitness , strength and tactical awareness have all increased. You couldn’t and shouldn’t decrease those. However natural flair has suffered. To me it’s a problem with today’s game. How does off the cuff flair come back . If you watch the Lee Briers podcast...

There are some great kids in this team, although standing next to them they don't seem like kids . I absolutely love working with this group of players and I...

Best set of Wigan backs?
I was just watching a video of us from 1994 and we had Radlinski Offiah Connolly Tuigamala Robinson Paul Edwards As our backs. I can't remember seeing a full set of backs that were so brilliant, certainly not since I first started watching Wigan in 1986. Yes, we've had other players of a similar cal...

Re: Rugby union's new tackle height laws may be a sign of what's to come for league
When asked if Rob Burrow was interested in joining the band wagon making claims against the RFL, regarding permanent head injuries, his dad apparently said that he'd spoken to him and he said "no way" and that he was grateful for everything that RL had allowed him to achieve with his life ...

Re: RFL's head of match officials Steve Ganson stood down subject to internal review
Ganson always came across with a sense of incredible arrogance. Yep, we know the ref's get berated by fans at all grounds and I suppose that comes with the territory. However, reading what James Child has said, it comes across that Ganson had no interest in developing the ref's (or simply didn't hav...

Re: 5-prize auction for Sam Powell’s testimonial
Always think these sort of prizes should be raffled not an aution. That way supporters with low/moderate incomes can take part and have a chance of getting one of the prizes. EW Yep, I totally agree. There are a couple of prizes on there that I would give my right arm for, but the majority of peopl...
