How to spend the bailout?

With today's news that the government has offered a loan of 16 million to save the sport of rugby league, were comments from Hull KR's chairman that there are too many professional clubs, taking into account Super League, Championship and League1. It is clear from his comments that the Super League ...

Re: Tyre Slasher Strikes Again!

Thanks for the suggestion Firestarter.

Don't think away fans are the cause of this Cheshire warrior. Maybe a crazed Latics fan?

Most likely just a dunderhead with nothing better to do.

Tyre Slasher Strikes Again!

Arrived late for the Hull match on Sunday, after being held up on the M62, so made a snap decision to drop anchor on Woodhouse Lane and leg it to the stadium, rather than spend more time heading for the official car parks - what a mistake! Later on Sunday I have a flat tyre, which turns out to have ...

Re: At last the club and marketing dept get something right

The difference is the other players mentioned all apologized and asked for a second chance.

Folau has not apologized, and has repeated his appalling views several times.

You have to draw the line somewhere, and in my book this is it.

Re: Edwards new reason cited........

Two interesting comments there. First he says the French convinced him he is really wanted, and then he got nothing but support from the welsh fans. The implication in each case being he didn't get the same from Wigan. Well I remember when he played there was always a vocal minority constantly gripi...

Re: At last the club and marketing dept get something right

Seems a pretty weak response to me. A proper protest would be to join with the other SL clubs in going on strike for games against Catalans - forfeit the points as well, until Cats and/or Folau gets the message. If we are to believe the Super League doesn't have a veto on this signing, then why can'...

Sack Harry Sunderland!

I posted this on the totalrl forum last weekend: https://www.totalrl.com/forums/index.php?/topic/345807-sack-harry-sunderland/ and got a bit of a mauling. In short, I have a long-running gripe about the man of the match award in the Grand Final continuing to honour the name of Harry Sunderland, who ...

Re: TONIGHTS GAME

The linesman makes more tackles than Clubb. I believe he’s a really nice guy, but that shouldn’t have earned him a 2 year contract. The guy is shot. If we are talking about passengers then look no further. Trundles the ball in at a snails pace, and easier to run past than a bollard. I’m sorry but i...

Re: TONIGHTS GAME

Very exciting game to watch, but I think there were some distress signals which suggest the team may have gone "over the top", to use a horse racing analogy. In the modern game it's surely obvious to all, regardless of experience, that in a tight game like that conceding cheap penalties is...

Re: Lam extends

Josie makes some good points. Lam commented early on that when the players came under pressure from a stronger team like Saints they tended to forget the new attacking focus and reverted to the comfort zone of playing the old conservative way that had been engrained under the previous coach. I think...
