Re: Hull

Seems we've got back to 2017. Our defence was poor, our attack was clueless and Tom Davies was quality. I expected a bit of a hangover from the World Club Challenge as it always seems to happen, but that was a pretty dire performance overall and they should have had enough to beat what was a spirite...

Re: Farrell out for 4 months

Isa seems almost certain to replace Farrell. He's not a bad replacement, but I do think it's just very uninspiring. I like the anticipation of a young player getting an opportunity when a big name player gets injured but instead we get a steady journeyman who just plays anywhere. It's probably the s...

Re: Clubb

He's had a poor start to the season that's for sure. Not really offered anything in any game he's played so far. Hopefully he's just having a slow start but it was noticeable tonight that in a game where we needed the pack to be on fire we got barely a spark from Clubb, while Navarrete looked to be ...

Re: Wigan vs roosters

We were always going to struggle against a Roosters side packed with stars but to have the best chance we needed to be aggressive in defence and flawless in terms of errors. The start was an absolute disaster and I feared the worst at that point. It's early days, but a worry for me is that our line ...

Re: Playing out of Position

Williams, Farrell, Gildart and Budgie/Marshall was probably the most devastating attacking combination when they played together. It surprises me that such an effective combination has been scrapped. Gildart in particular was very effective on the left because he had space to run into and opportunit...

Re: Wigan Warriors: Super League champions receive two-point deduction

Unsurprisingly, the chairman of Bradford Bulls, Andrew Chalmers, has waded into the debate with typical restraint and moderation. Speaking of the salary cap, oh dear oh dear. What a pickle Wigan has gotten themselves into, again; with yet another salary cap breach. Before commenting on the big news ...

Re: Saints v Wigan: Game thread

I can't quite believe how sanguine fans are about last night which was beyond awful. The only players who can hold their heads up today are Marshall (excellent, despite having no service); Flower (awesome and on the pitch for so long(; Greenwood (tried hard as ever); Bullock (big yards and looking ...

Re: Wigan Warriors: Super League champions receive two-point deduction

The fact that they've gone for a points deduction over such a small amount, that they tried to claim it was a 'serious breach', and the timing of the announcement, does seem to fuel the fire that there's a bit of a retribution in this. The decision was made several days ago, so why delay the announc...

Re: BBC TO BROADCAST RED STAR BELGRADE’S CHALLENGE CUP OPENER

Millom must have one of the most picturesque grounds in world rugby. Stunning scenery. One of the best things about the BBC streaming the early stages of the Challenge Cup is seeing these historic amateur sides. The amateur game is still the heart of rugby league.

Re: Wigan Warriors coach Adrian Lam looking for a way to fit Morgan Escare into plans

I think you have to feel sorry for Morgan. He's barely had a bad game for us since arriving, was in outstanding form in Tomkins absence but eventually lost his place to him. He continued to play well when given the chance only to see Hardaker come in and claim the fullback spot before he's even play...
