New wiki-style permissions

Post by Mike »

Hi everyone

I have updated everyone's permissions so that all users can add new content to all sections of the site and edit things like player profiles etc.

I am hoping that this change will increase the amount of participation and contributions to the site.

Each section should now contain a link to let you add new content, and in other places you will see "Edit" links. Please make sure you read the instructions before posting your content. Please bear in mind if you choose to edit any content that all sections of the site apart from the message board should contain only facts and not opinion or rumour.

Cheers

Mike

GeoffN told me to put things from news stories in the News section. When I have tried to this it says I do not have the permissions to do this?

What do I do now? :conf:

Thanks

Josie
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Mike, thanks I have tried a news story concerning Lockyer and added a picture from another source which is referenced... would this be ok?

basically - news story from wigan today.net image form somewhere else (referenced)

James Slevin
Ces Mountford
And the “kind of rugby player you’d want to be in your dreams” James Leytham
Should be in the Wigan Warriors Hall

The news story worked perfectly - keep it up.

I can't find the picture on the latest images list. What site was it from?

I don't think you uploaded it to the site correctly. THere are no images registered in the database that have been uploaded by you. What did you do when you tried to upload?

Ah. I see it now.

If you want to add images to the site that will be linked to future news stories and players you can do this by going to the Image Gallery page and using the New link that you will find there too.
