Check the size, and the file format.
Images can be in GIF, JPG or PNG format and must be no larger than 128x128 pixels.
If it's not either of those reasons, dunno!

Bri,
If you are using a camera for your pics check the picture quality setting on it.
Most digital cameras have a picture quality selection.
The higher quality picture setting uses more pixels in the same photograph as one using a standard or lower quality picture setting.
