Maybe he'll get the new contract he was after now. We must be seen to be supported these players.

I would get rid now. I live round the corner from TT and often walk past his house when out with the dog. It scares me to think he's driving past me whilst over the limit.

Another one bites the dust.

These sort of things seem to happen a lot more at our club than any other.

Is it the players we attract?

The culture of the club?

The area of Wigan promoting this type of behavior?

The clubs set a precedent of sticking by its players during such and similar incidents other than the Joel Tomkins one.

More importantly, why is he out drunk at 4am hours after being beaten by Warrington?

It just doesn't scream professional athlete to me that we have players out until 4 am, drinking and especially given the fact we are having a terrible season and have been beaten.

The answer is an alcohol ban and actually handing out punishments to players that are severe enough to hopefully make them think.

It's not just Hardaker, Mullen and Tautai. Joel and Sam and their video incident was down to alcohol. Looking a little further back, the Bateman and Mossop incident apparently happened after a day of drinking. And if Hamlin's potential ban is for testing positive for something recreational then you can probably add that to this list as we all know drugs and alcohol go hand in hand.

Kris Radlinski can say the club 'drives a strong culture' all he wants. He can say that the club does everything they can do educate the players but clearly the players aren't heeding this education. If they choose to be ignorant you have to punish them suitably.

This is happening too often. It's not enough for Rads to just make a statement and almost say, 'well what more can we do'. Maybe digging a little deeper would help, rather than spouting PR nonsense to protect the club.

How many more are doing the same could be the reason the way are performing on the pitch

As a serious question.

Is this Lam? Isn't he over here alone at the moment which would probably mean lots of socialising.

If its not we need a good clean out, players represent the club and behaviour like this from anyone shouldn't be tolerated?

Do we want young wigan fans looking up to a bunch of druggy drink driving Diva's?

This isnt football.

Also why the hell is the clubs response to a major loss to go out and get pissed?
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I dont think its Lam but i think one thing that deffo doesnt help is the "jobs for the boys" culture

What do you do when you're coach, head fitness coach, general manger and current playing captain all played together, that cannot be good for the culture, anyone who's played rugby or been part of a team will know the hijinks that go on when you're in that environment - at the moment there's no separation there is no independent

Taulima Tautai left out of Wigan Warriors squad after court appearance for drink-driving

Taulima Tautai has been left out of Wigan's squad to face Leeds on Friday following his court appearance for drink-driving.

The prop is not in Adrian Lam's 19-man squad for the Sky-televised showdown at Headingley.

Tautai appeared in court in Wigan late this morning to face a charge of drink-driving in Pemberton, at 4.10am on Sunday May 26 - hours after his appearance for Wigan in their Magic Weekend loss to Warrington (a court report will appear on this website shortly).

He retained his place in the side for Sunday's 19-18 win at Hull KR. It is unclear if his omission is a punishment or due to form or injury, but Lam will take his weekly press conference this afternoon.

Elsewhere, Joe Greenwood (ribs) is still out and Ben Flower and Zak Hardaker are ruled out as they nurse back and hamstring injuries respectively. Jake Shorrocks has been left out.

Chris Hankinson, Ollie Partington, Romain Navarrete and Jarrod Sammut - who didn't face the Robins - are in the provisional squad which will be cut to 17 on Friday.

Wigan's 19-man squad: Joe Bullock, Joe Burgess, Liam Byrne, Tony Clubb, Morgan Escare, Liam Farrell, Oliver Gildart, Chris Hankinson, Willie Isa, Tommy Leuluai, Liam Marshall, Romain Navarrete, Sean O’Loughlin, Oliver Partington, Sam Powell, Jarrod Sammut, Dan Sarginson, Morgan Smithies, George Williams.
