Are you referring to anyone other than French and Hastings?

Although not ideal, the club will have weighed up they think its worth allowing them more time in Australia to rest and recuperate with their family and friends and have some normality versus a couple of extra weeks pre-season training.

Hopefully the bit of pre-season they have missed is fitness based and they have kept themselves fit and they join for the actual preparation.

It is worrying that they are not back yet and you factor in isolation. They're going to get 4 weeks max before thhe first game.

They wont need to quarantine, Australia isn't on the redlist and elite sports are allowed to train after arrival, but need a negative test, and will then fall under the clubs testing regime. As long as they don't route back through the UAE they will be fine to go straight into training

Won't they have to self-isolate for 10 days? Which can be reduced to 5 upon the receipt of a negative test?

not as far as i can see from this, they need to self isolate, but can train

"For all other arrivals

You do not need to take a coronavirus test on day 2 and day 8 after arrival in the UK.

You must self-isolate apart from when you are:

competing in or training for an elite sports event, or
providing essential support to a domestic elite sportsperson in their competition or training, or
providing essential operational support to the running of an elite sports event
You may leave self-isolation to travel directly to or between the locations of elite sports events or training where you are undertaking your duties as an elite sportsperson."

from the Gov website, so as long as they fly direct of transit through Hong Kong or Singapore they are fine

Hastings uploaded a video of Wigan warriors warming up in changing rooms before a game last year.

Captioned it with ‘21’

Someone commented below saying when you home?

Hastings response - don’t you worry

Rumour over?

Why all the fuss about when they’re coming back? They are coming that’s all we need to know 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

They wouldn't have been able to do much with the team for the last 2 weeks anyway - the whole training facility has been closed because of COVID. SO I doubt they're very far behind anyone else at this point.

Wigan is the rumour capital of the WesternWorld and if it doesn’t start here it starts in St Helens.
