Looks like John Kear put in a dodgy expenses claim...

Seems like its been sorted out now though. NOt usre if a "club insider" should have been giving quotes to the News of the World though.

Why do we do it again? Is there never any GOOD news that we can leak to the press.
Why can't we shout about the England A team tour being such a great success.
Let's get our act together.
PLEASE!

Nobody knows

Post by Mike » Fri Nov 22, 2002 10:34 am

Nobody (that I know) quite knows. Its been variously described as financial irregularities, an error in management processes and an "honest mistake". IMO the real story is who leaked the quote to the News of the World. It sounded like whoever it was doesn't like Kear very much: "he's gone too far this time", sort of implies that they have seen faults in the past...

Someone at the club with a vendetta against Kear? WHo knows?
