No one is saying he wont play well..... eventually.

Just he should be finding his form and fitness in the reserves rather than in a first team fixture - unless Wane is now treating all the remaining games as nothing more than warm ups for the play-offs (so making actually going to them meaningless)
Playing devils advocate though, who cares if he is woefully unfit the first 5-6 games he is back, nothing matters for us between now and the start of the play offs in truth, so he can be getting fitness back in the first team if the aim is to use him in the playoffs.
Woefully unfit? According to Phil Clarke he has returned as the fittest player in the club following the power and endurance test results. Time some people realised that modern sport in whatever format is designed to maximise the performance of its personnel.

According to Phil Clarke
This bloke is an utter idiot who talks more sh7te than a coach load of saints speccies. This bloke even tipped Salford for the Grand Final so proves what he knows

Face the fact (and this was admitted by the club at the time of his signing), he (Tomkins) was returning from back surgery, this also on top of a knee injury picked up last November. Any claims for him to have been "ultra fit" or otherwise are just exactly what they are - what Clarke likes to spout

I've faced some facts and they are that the Lad Tomkins looks damn fit to me. GB and wigan legend Phil Clarke is obviously a moron.

Ah yes the ever impartial Phil Clarke, is Andy Clarke still Joel Tomkins' agent? because it wouldn't be like Phil to big up one of his brothers players would it....
