apologies for being a nuisance.. I'm from NZ and bumped into Shem approx 2-3 weeks ago here b4 he went bk to UK. I just wtd to see if anybody could pass on my hello and "was a pleasure to meet you" to Shem. He made mention of having played for Wigan so this is my only form of trying to get hold of him. Your photo doesnt do him justice..lol.. very nice guy.. Regards Liza From Auckland NZ

Shem the legend

Yes, I remember Shem well from his Wigan days. In fact there's a monument to him in Wigan town centre - a pair of smoking rugby boots in memory of his hit & run stay at the club. Having said that he was as good a player as Paul Koloi and probably better than Mick Nanyn.
