Warriors and HW Moon Toyota Raise Funds for RND

Wigan Warriors Sports College Students and HW Moon Toyota are having a hoot as they join forces to raise funds for Red Nose Day.

Toyota, who employ over 10,000 people in the UK are hoping to raise £1 million for Red Nose Day and have teamed up with the Wigan Warriors Sports College students.

The students have several events and fundraising tasks lined up this week and will also be calling on the good nature of Wigan fans with a bucket collection at the stadium and sale of the exclusive car red noses ahead of the game with Hull FC.

Steven Mather, Centre Principal of HW Moon said "We are delighted in the initiative shown by the Warriors students in helping raise vital funds. People can show their support for Red Nose Day by kindly donating any spare change they have into the official buckets or by texting their donation.

"The students will have a supply of official car red noses for £5 and if they run out, make your donation, and regardless of whether it's a Toyota or another make just pop down to the Challenge Way showroom and we will fit it for free on production of the sent text. The noses are available exclusively from HW Moon as your local Toyota centre and all of the monies kindly donated goes straight to the Red Nose appeal."

As an official Red Nose Day partner, Toyota is supporting fund-raising activities in its showrooms, factories, warehouses and offices across the country. With more than 10,000 UK employees, supported by family, friends and business colleagues like Wigan Warriors, its mission is to bring in at least £1 million to help Comic Relief's great work transforming lives both here in Britain and in Africa. Every penny raised through Red Nose Day is spent on making grants that can help change lives forever, giving people a leg-up, not a hand-out.
