I understand that the club feel that they do not need to recruit any new players ? Surely we need to bring in some quality in key positions to sharpen our attacking options which are predictable and disjointed I'm convinced they make it up as they go along and based on the performance v hull the sooner the better because we will fail to win anything with the type of attacking rugby we are playing which lacks quality in the final third of the pitch

Come on Wigan bring in some quality the fans deserve better than this

I fully agree, we need to marry our outstanding youngsters with two or three quality signings. This squad, with the right additions, should blow SL away over the next decade. We have still not resolved our dilemma in the centres - young Gildart has excellent prospects (but we shouldn't expect too much too soon), Gelling is an enigma and Sarginson will leave the club in the near future so the time is right to add an experienced performer. Half back is our biggest issue, a quality performer would have put Saints to the sword last night but for me Smith doesn't have the vision or ability to unlock tight defences. His position in the team is, in my view, not sustainable if we are to move forward. Finally, I would like to see a forward with some real mongrel in him to lead the pack.

We need pace at half back. Why not give Gildart a chance. Who placed him a centre years ago? Whats so difficult about scrum half?Run pass tackle.Learnto kick,if it helps. Sloppy ,weak all through the club.

Have to say I completely agree. I was hoping that with Thornley leaving and Sarginson injured the club might decide to look for a new centre. Gelling is so inconsistent (I wonder if lack of competition for his place is a key part in that?) and it's a little early to put all the pressure on Gildart.

As for the halves, personally I'd like to see Hampshire and Williams pair up, however a decent signing there wouldn't go amiss.

or even a top Hooker and keep MM for impact of the bench

Well time to pension off OL ,time is up. Use Bateman and Farrell as running LFORWARDS ,AND GET SOME BEEF AND PACE in the second Do we have anyone remotely capapable of promoting to the second row with Tomkins. If not why not. ?What do the staff do all day?

Apart from the obvious comments made, re. centre, prop and hooker, my biggest worry is our only recruit for next year could come back crocked!
Obviously we can all bellyache about the team but if we don't win owt this year, and I doubt we will, it would more than likely be a barren season next year.

Since the team with finch Lima and Hoffman in we have got a progressively weaker side each year.

Fortunately the league has got progressively worse

We need a centre, saringson is a prospect and overall poor, gelling will never be dependable, gild art is a decent prospect
