Regarding this afternoon's game, I think it's a great relief to have a handful of experienced players back. Not sure about their fitness and the heat, but I have a feeling that Wigan will edge out Warrington. The absence of Hill could be telling.
I'd have voted positively in the survey had I been early enough.
Good luck to the Warriors and even though Sam Tomkins isn't at the top of my Christmas present list, I wish him well.
Just in case you've overlooked this, could anyone give me an answer to my question?
I'm happy that I had the confidence to believe Wigan would win. They're only going to get better, too.
Believe if they get into the super 8s they still have to progress in the super 8s and get into the top 4, by the time the super 8s have finished. That's 7 games to get into the top 4. Then the top 4 go into the play offs and for the bottom 4, it's next season in the SL.

Dead right. We all know it wasn't perfect but both teams played much better than they have of late but ours deserve the biggest pat on the back for so many not to have played in ages and then to go out and play as well as they did in that exceptional heat in a game of that intensity was remarkable.
Like jao711 I was just glad for the win, didn't have to be pretty. Bizarrely there is more positivity on the Wire message boards about the Wigan team than there is on here! :eusa17: Just enjoy being in the next round folks
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
I hope you are right.
This game v Wire was at a time where some of our more key players returned, theyre not match fit and havent played as a unit for a number of months.
This unit will only get better barring more injuries, however, we will have to cut out the unforced mistakes and stupid penalties.
Do you think We should stick with two hookers, I thought Williams was caught out yesterday in the way he comes forward and the different passing styles of powell/McIlorum meant he struggled to consistently catch the ball well off the PTB.
I backed Wigan to win the CC at the start of the season also to win SL too ????????????
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I actually thought Tommy was much better today, that kick out on the full excepted.
I think it's a bit rich to bleat about how hard done we were, when the winning try should never have been allowed, the pass was a mile forward. But I suppose you should blame the touchie for that more than the ref. That said, enormous credit to Marshall for pwning Atkins (how great was that to see? ) and forcing his way over. I thought he was terrific.
What about the clearly deliberate trip on Sam with the line wide open? In my opinion at least a sin- binning offence, possibly a penalty try since Wire had no full back in place
I was given wigan to win the cup bet for my birthday. Feeling pretty confident now.
I was really pleased and think we will unbeatable if that side stays fit. The maths are against us in the league though. As we have been saying for months, all we ever needed was our best players actually playing.
