Disciplinary predictions

Post by Maverickpils »

What does everyone think the disciplinary panel are going to do after yesterday's matches? My thoughts:

1) Tomkins sin binning - the ref should be banned for that decision.
2) Powell tackle to the legs of standing player (Tasi?) - a bit worried on that one!
3) Isa on Carney - it was a nothing - NFA
4) Gelling's 'head the ball! - sending off sufficient.

Anyone disagree?

Do you think if Powell gets a match ban will Wane go with just MM?

Powell charged grade B (1 -2), interesting that neither Tomkins or Gelling's mishaps were even reviewed!

Stuart Cummings in league weekly today talks about the very same subject. He would like an ex referee on the panel as the panel seems to have a different criteria to the ref. They have probably watched the Sam and Gells incidents, had a chuckle and dismissed them out of hand.

It will be good to have MM for 80 on Friday.

They ruled Isa's should have been a penalty, nothing more. That's what I thought too, officials missed one but really I couldn't imagine it making a difference at that stage, felt we could keep them out anyway.
