Stats for the NRL show total metres and show kick return metres. That helps give more perspective. Shame the free SL stats don't do the same so you have to draw slightly more tenuous conclusions from them, or at least qualify any conclusions you draw. It is the forwards on kick off returns that really messes with things. In play kick returns for wingers is generally fairly even. Particularly now that most full backs will spread kicks down the middle out with his wingers (not just Tomkins despite popular belief in the stands at the DW).shaunedwardsfanclub wrote:
Regarding props, what about showing average gains after contact?

Re: Willie Isa
Not just Tomkins, no, (does anyone really say that?) but even the superstars of the NRL like Slater, Tedesco and Tuivasa-Sheck take the ball into contact more than ST does. And, it's one thing handing the ball off to a big winger like Blake Ferguson or Corey Oates, and quite another to a guy the size of Liam Marshall.markill wrote: Particularly now that most full backs will spread kicks down the middle out with his wingers (not just Tomkins despite popular belief in the stands at the DW).
