Sam Powell was my m.o.m. which won't go down with many on here.
I think SP's best position is hooker and maybe with a bit of coaching when the new guys come in he could be much better?
Certainly getting rid of him would not be a priority for me.

How many tackles did Powell make? Superb effort.
Sixty-eight tackles made zero tackles missed.

Big effort also from Joe Greenwood 153 metres and 34 tackles.

Sam Powell will tell you, after that 2016 season, he prefers to play at hooker but was swapped to scrum half to let Tommy go to hooker.

He is also Wigan's top tackler.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Agree Sam Powell's best position is hooker. When he is playing there he is awesome, great tackler and dummy half. The way he converses with the rest of the squad he may be a Captain of the future.

I think some are being a little hard on Gabe Hamlin. I agree he didn't have a good game last night, but I feel that there is still more to come from Gabe.

What is this Subject about? Sam Powell, or, Tautai? If it is about Powell open up a fresh "Subject".

Tautai needs moving on.

Not good enough for Wigan, when I first saw him, playing for Wakefield away he destroyed Wigan on his own, the best player on the pitch by far. Tautai has never in his time at Wigan played to that standard since. A "Jimmy Birt" knee jerk reaction once more, sorry to say! :(

Powell at 7 is not good enough, but at 9 he's a very decent superleague player IMO.

All good debate, does it really matter?

I found it interesting that in his interview on Wigan TV, Catch up with The Chairman, IL goes through the squad saying how well planned it is for 2019 and then checks he hasn't missed anyone, but TT doesn't get a mention anywhere.

Mind you nor for that matter does Lockers :eusa16: :eusa16: :eusa16:

Yes it does, WW, Barney opened up the thread regarding Tautai, at least have the respect to follow it. Don't take the lazy way out and be a sheep to follow an unrelated stream.
