They have to be offering more than a playing contract.
How could working for Hetherington appeal to Lockers?

He hasn’t signed a contract or been offered one from Wigan either playing or coaching! ????
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

We'd be making the same mistake Leeds did when they released Danny Maguire.

All good things come to an end sometime. Maybe he's taken stock and thought about all the departures and decided to start a new chapter elsewhere himself.

I’m musing here,at some point in the very near future the Lockers “problem”(if that’s the right word)has to be addressed, his supernatural hold on the Wigan team will surely end at most by the end of next season, just in time for Edwards’s return I wonder and it is just wondering if there’s any legs to this rumour they’ve decided to go whole hog, accept it could be rough next year and let him go,Lam is on a hiding to nothing really as it is once his years up he’s gone and if Lockers has departed the team have had a year to get on with life without him, rather than it being an issue for Edwards to walk into in his first day in charge?

Do I think it’s the right move no it’s not by any means.
