What the hell does Escare have to do to get a Spot, that reads like Zak has walked into a starting spot.

Escare did not let us down at all last year and hes exciting to watch.

Can see Escare asking for a release before the season start, didn't he leave Catalans for similar reasons

Wouldnt blame him either, being kept out by an unreliable, irresponsible prolific offender.

Giving Escare the number 1 shirt would, I hope, indicate that they're planning on starting him at full back initially. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out, having 2 class full-backs in the squad isn't a bad position to be in after all.

Feel sorry for Escare - its the message it says to youngsters too - basically if youre gifted forget about the rules because in the end you will always be picked

you just got to look at Scott moore still getting 2nd chances

do you get the impression they gave Escare the number 1 jersey to keep him sweet, knowing full well he wont be getting as much game time when Zak is fit?

Lam might be planning playing Hardaker at centre. I think at the beginning he will be on the bench to see which spot he best fits in. If he keeps clean I think most on here will want him starting each week no matter who misses out.

Its the same with the wingers, it will be funny not starting with Manfredi after he won us the grand final.

Manfredi hasn't done anything wrong though has he so he deserves another chance.

Id be happier with ZH at centre to start with mainly because centre is probably our weakest area. Escare IMO should be given a chance to claim the FB spot, people go on about hardaker but we are talking about pre ban and a year out from the sport clearly abusing his body hardaker. He may not be the player he was before he left so Escare should be entitled to first crack at FB IMO.

Im not blind to see that sport is a results industry and im not suggesting we play escare over ZH long term is Escare isnt up to parr but for me ZH should have to earn his way into the side and it should be Escares to lose.

Saying he is first choice kicker is effectively saying he is in the squad regardless
