Wigan Warriors newboy Jarrod Sammut banned for Super League opener

Wigan's new signing Jarrod Sammut is set to miss the start of the season after being hit with a two-match ban.
He was hit with a grade C penalty notice for making contact with referee Liam Moore during last Sunday's friendly at Salford - his first appearance in a Warriors shirt.

Sammut was in the squad for tomorrow's friendly at Barrow but the RFL say the ban will start from round one, ruling him out of the opener at St Helens on January 31.

Fair enough, let's hope the powers that be are consistent this season.

He did though so i have no issue.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I have seen the video of the incident and he was an idiot. What a great way to start your Wigan RL career. Getting banned before the season starts in a friendly.

Very silly and it could cost him a great deal. If we have no injuries, I wouldn't expect him to have a chance for the WCC if he hasn't played in the first two league matches. Good news for Morgan though?
