Given the proximity of Bolton and that stadium's more welcoming owners the presumably better overall package, financial, commercial and operational, was taken for the one game that may otherwise have come to the DW.
They didn't say that when given the opportunity though did they? They said bolton's close anyway so why are you complaining. They'd have gone to Bolton even if it meant paying them!

Its like missing out Manchester United for a cup final and holding it at Accrington Stanley would never happen in Football so you know now why RL crowds are falling , its not the game its the administration

Just a demo of raising money

1st game Wigan RL ( NO GAME ) times by 3
capacity 21,000
£20 per ticket

Money banked £42, 000 times 3 games £126 ,000

2nd game Leigh
crowd 6000
£20 per ticket £12, 000 3 games £36,000

looks like we have lost out on £90.000

mmmmmmmmmmmm Pathetic

Disgraceful. I'd say, 'unbelievable', but sadly, the way our sport is run, it isn't.

Boycotting games would be a futile and pointless gesture. As said up thread, if you feel strongly, fire off letters or emails.

I'd like to see a statement from the club. If it's true that they only bid for the q/fs, personally I think that's pretty poor in itself, but I'd like to see it in writing.

Looks like I could actually watch games more easily in the last World Cup than this one! I was working in Bristol back then, and watched Cook Islands (including Gells) play the US one evening after work.

Joke decision by a joke administration.

Get rid or watch the game go further down the drain.

No qualms with the LSV and Bolton they have shown in the past they are good venues at hosting such games and the “Reebok” is a very good location regardless of the team currently playing in it.

Boycotting Wigan is a disgrace and a financial hit for the RFL. We could get 24,000 or 25,000 on easily with the correct marketing even for a round robin game... Aus v NZ?!

The sooner the RFL change the better.
