A bit different than Dubai or the States!

How many of our fans can afford to travel halfway round the world to watch a game? I know I can’t afford it anymore now I’m retired,
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Slightly off topic but I’d like to see a 7s competition end of the season

James Slevin
Ces Mountford
And the “kind of rugby player you’d want to be in your dreams” James Leytham
Should be in the Wigan Warriors Hall

Should change the magic weekend into a sevens tournament featuring SL and Championship

It might be in for a revamp but will any change improve the event?

The present system where it is played at the home on one of the two clubs is played by players who want to play in it. It draws large crowds and no doubt makes a very good profit for both clubs.
Before changing anything they need to ensure that whatever is considered it meets those criteria and more besides.
Change for the sake of change is pointless. Guaranteed improvement is needed before a successful competition is messed around with.

Sevens is rubbish. I think the Auckland Nines showed that that is a much more satisfactory game.

Agreed, 7's is now the ru version of the short game - 9's much more like the real thing and obviously closer to the 13 a side game. It is this format that's been promoted by the NRL (ARL ?) over the last few years.
