Adrian Lam names 19-man squad to face Sydney Roosters

Centre Dan Sarginson included after ankle injury concern following last week’s victory over Leeds.

Manfredi and Burgess miss out due to knee injuries.

Wigan Warriors Head Coach Adrian Lam has named his 19-man squad to face Sydney Roosters at the DW Stadium on Sunday evening (K.O. 7pm).

The reigning Betfred Super League Champions will face the NRL Champions for the Betfred World Club Challenge trophy and the title of the best Rugby League Club on the planet this Sunday.

Wigan Head Coach Adrian Lam will face his old side in the Sydney Roosters, who also included his son Lachlan in the travelling squad. On the fixture, On his old side, Lam explained, “They are brilliant. They’ve got a great coach, they’ve got some great leaders in the team and a game plan that changes every week. It’ll be a tough game.

“We’ve got to stay in the battle the whole time and that is what Wigan are renowned for.”

In injury news, Dom Manfredi misses out following a clean out of the fluid on his knee. Joe Burgess remains on the comeback trail from a knee injury picked up (ACL) in April 2018. Injury concern Dan Sarginson, who left the field vs Leeds last week due to an ankle injury, makes the Wigan 19 ahead of the World Club Challenge.
