Better competition
Better wages
Better weather
Better lifestyle
Better country
First two: no argument. The rest, very much up for debate.

Second two better as well - lived there 3 years (had to return due to homesickness in family and illness at home).
Weather is Mediterranean climate which encourages an outdoor lifestyle, one of the reasons they have a high standard and exceptionally large player pool. Also why it takes a while for NRL players to get used to our winter conditions.

The Australian (Not NZ or any of the Islands) players on average are bigger, faster and stronger than the English without any genetically advantage.

Love Rugby stating that Canberra are paying us £175K for Williams
Canberra Raiders will have to pay a fee of £175,000 to Wigan Warriors if they are to secure the services of George Williams, report League Weekly.

The England international has been heavily linked with a move to the NRL ahead of 2020, and The Mole reported last week that he has signed a three-year deal with the Raiders. League Weekly suggest Canberra will pay the Warriors £175,000 for promising half-back Williams.

But I'm suspecting an agreement has been made... and Wigan is putting a condition on the transfer deal... that it can't be announced until after the end of their season, or close to. There's just too much comment coming out of the north of England that there's some sort of agreement

So we have a half committed player for the rest of the season

Who mentioned Bateman???

Every one is different and some players are not as "professional" as their wages indicate or do you disagree?

Well the club had supposedly put a £500,000 price tag on George don’t think that Aussie dollar conversion rate equals £175,000 one bit!

I know what has happened here... Wigan offered George Williams the Head Coach job for 2020 and its too costly to get rid of the contract, hence this haggling of price with Canberra to cover costs
