Wigan mistakes

Post by nathan_rugby »

Assuming that this years demise is an accumulation of bad decisions over the last couple of years and not just a blip. Where do we attribute the blame?

1 - Not replacing Paul Deacon in our backroom staff.

2 - Not replacing Iestyn Harris as assistant

3 - Letting our best players leave and return worse off

4 - Letting our best players leave and signing low standard project players

5 - Letting Mark Bitcon leave and not replacing him

What else?
Bomhead - "Lockers to prop."

Keeping too big a squad of players( some who will never be first team ready).....this was highlighted by shorroks being named as an emergency hooker...... surely its time to release agood few and buy one or two better quality players......... ide rather we start now as having too many new faces at once can backfire

Well given he resigned I don’t think you can’t really call this a bad decision by Wigan whatever you think of him as a coach.

I don't think it was a bad decision, just a mistake.
