Two points in your post, firstly why should we get rid of Hamlin when we signed a serial offender in Hardaker?,and iL wanting to throw his money around?that will never happen.

Hardaker was a Wigan player when he got drunk, drove his car and got caught. So there is no difference, just double standards by the club.

He was still on his ban and wasn't a Wigan player until the ban ended

Splitting hairs there Meds, he was conracted to Wigan when his ban ended.

Sadly we seem to be in a phase of managed decline. Next season we will be without several major players because of retirement and some contracts will be up. I would not blame our best contracted players for looking elsewhere as the quality of replacements being suggested is hardly exciting and we have no idea who the coach will be. I would like a club to be more vocal with at least a statement that we are looking to recruit top class players. This would go some way to maintaining expectations. If club sources cannot be positive then why should we bother? Our gates are down to the tune of hundreds of thousands of pounds per home game in tickets and other revenue streams. We seem to have lost our way. I wonder what has changed in so short a time?
