Gellings comments are rather intresting and something fans including myself should remember.

However this time feels different.
Very apt.

In 2017, when the anti Wane brigade were at their loudest, my feeling was that our lack of success was down to injuries and that Wane would, with a bit of luck, restore the natural order of things.

This time however, I'm not too sure about things.

In the car crash that is this season so far the 2 shining lights are young Smitheees and Partington,they do look the part so far,I hope they continue on.

Frankly, with our current lack of discipline, dreadful defence and jumping out of the line to miss tackles, Anthony Gelling would fit back in perfectly.

His defence wasn't as bad as Sarginsons or Gildarts is.

because he was never fit enough to get back in the defensive line

At least Gells could provide that odd moment of totally unpredictable play that would break the oppositions defensive line. I'm not seeing anything other than the odd flash of brilliance from Gilly or Williams. If you shut down that left side you shut down all our attacking threat.
