Warriors double-header

Post by josie andrews »

Under-19s and Women’s games to be streamed live on Wigan TV this weekend.

Young Warriors face Widnes Vikings whilst Women play Featherstone Rovers.

Both games to be played at the Robin Park Arena on Saturday and Sunday.

Wigan Warriors Under-19s and Women’s teams are both in action this weekend and both games will be available to watch live on Wigan TV.

The Under-19s host Widnes Vikings on Saturday 1st June at the Robin Park Arena, 12:30pm kick-off.

Wigan currently sit at the top of the Academy Super League after picking up 18 points from a possible 20.

The Warriors have the best attack and defence in the league with 460 points scored, including 81 tries, and 152 points conceded in ten games.

Shane Eccles’ side have lost just once so far this season and go into Saturday’s game off the back of a 24-38 victory at City of Hull Academy last week.

Wigan Women face Featherstone Rovers at the Robin Park Arena on Sunday 2nd June, 2pm kick-off.

After a poor start to the season, the Cherry and Whites responded last weekend with a 50-14 thumping against British Army RL Women to progress to the quarter-finals of the Coral Challenge Cup.

The Warriors turn their attention back to the Super League on Sunday, as they aim to add to the two points they have so far from four games.

The current Women’s Super League champions and Featherstone have both won one game this season but a victory for either side at the weekend would move them closer to the top four.

Both games will be streamed live on Wigan TV.

There will also be highlights and post-match interviews available, giving Wigan fans comprehensive coverage that you’ll not find anywhere else.

Alternatively, Wigan Warriors season ticket holders can watch the games for free at the Robin Park Arena.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
