Hope so.
Think Wigan will have to consider his position if he gets another bad injury.
Bet he’s had 3 years on the sidelines, which isn’t good.
It’s such a shame. If he hadn’t had such bad injuries I think he would of been a superstar and would have had regular place in the England lineup.
And probably gone to Nrl 😤
How many years did saints stick by lomax?
How many serious injuries did Lomax have and how long was he out for with each?

Sorry but there’s no way Manfredi should even be thought about for this season,if that’s the case assuming young Toms foot is facing the right let’s give him a game too...sometimes players get nasty injuries and you just have to forget about them for a good amount of time.

So Greenwood went off again but has nothing serious? He needs to man up. How many games has he played this year and finished? Always seems to leave injured.

Joe Greenwood has avoided a long injury lay-off.

The England forward was taken to hospital after Saturday’s Magic Weekend loss to Warrington with suspected broken ribs.

With this weekend off because of the Challenge Cup, Lam will check on him early next week – but has not ruled him out of their next match, at Hull KR on Sunday week.

Greenwood suffered the injury during the first-half of Saturday’s game at Anfield, which Wigan lost 26-14.

It was the second successive game that the 26-year-old had retired early from a match – he suffered a knee injury in the defeat to Catalans at the Nou Camp.

Greenwood’s likely availability will strengthen Lam’s options as he begins to consider his squad for the trip to face the Robins.

Sam Powell (head) and Thomas Leuluai (shoulder) are expected to come back into the frame.

And Liam Marshall (shoulder) may also be back fit, meaning Lam’s only front-line absentees would be wingers Dom Manfredi and Tom Davies – out for the season. He also lost Gabe Hamlin to suspension as he waits for UKAD to complete its case against him.

Wigan were due to train again today but will then have a long weekend off to rest and recover before reporting back on Monday to begin preparations for their next match.

Mr Glass strikes again 😭😭
Been given more information about Greenwood’s injury.

When it happened his oxygen level dropped to 60% & he was rushed to hospital because the medical team thought he had punctured his lung, so it was quite serious!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.

As I said Josie he looked awful going down into the dressing room I thought he’d done his shoulder the way he was holding himself but now knowing what youve put it makes sense you’d hold yourself in a certain way.

He does seem to be attracting his share of injuries though, while they look bad at the time they end up not being that serious but as we all know at some point he will cop a bad one,but let’s hope it’s not this season

I just hope the lad has been encouraged to look at life (and income) after Rugby is over.
I can see another Paul Prescott situation here and it's sad when a 100% grafter has to finish his career in sport early. I'm sure that when he was in the Saints youth set-up, learning in a trade or profession was part of the training.

What is annoying is that the shoulder charge is banned for defending players but not for attacking ones & that is a Warrington favourite move. Just look how many injuries they have caused through the attacking player using this move! Is Price coaching them to use this move?

Last year we had Willie Isa with a broken collar bone from an attacking player using a shoulder charge v Warrington!

If it's banned for defenders it should be banned for attacking players!

no it shouldnt. Hes running in and trying to burst a tackle. The emphasis is on the defender, they can see it coming and just stands there. They should be hitting lower, if they want to man up and get in the way then thats their problem. You cant say the same about an attacker as they have to run in so cant change body shape etc

Agree with most of this but that particular attacker lead with his forearm/elbow straight into Greenwoods sternum.

Hardly surprising he had to go off.
