Nearly every other thread on this forum says we need to sign a new hooker. Now given we've just signed a scrum half for next season where would our new captain play. We really have taken a fall from grace if Powell is the hooker for the next few years.

For me it has to be Farrell, he really does lead by example.

Nearly every other thread on this forum is dominated by the opinions of a few people. The whole forum itself is not necessarily representative of all Wigan fans. And, even if it were, as Wayne Bennett (I think) said "When you start listening to the fans, it's time to become one." or words to that effect.

In short, it's Sam Powell all day long.

Agreed. I started thinking who should it be and there is literally no one I can think of who is the obvious choice. It should not be surprising really because how many times have we looked leaderless even with the current crop of senior players on the pitch when Lockers isn’t and last season when Sam T wasn’t?
