Wigan Warriors to celebrate the life of fans and former players

Club to pay tribute at the Friday’s Betfred Super League Play-Off Qualifier against Salford Red Devils on Friday 20th September

Fans invited to submit names

Wigan Warriors plan to celebrate the life of fans and former players who have passed away at Friday’s Play-Off Qualifier against Salford Red Devils.

The Club will pay tribute with a feature before the game with the names of loved ones displayed on the big screen at the DW Stadium.

Marketing and Community Director, Martin McLoughlin, said: “It seems fitting to do so at what could be our final home game of the season and gives us all time to reflect and remember people who have held a close affinity with the Club during their lives.”

If you have a family member, or friend, who has been a Wigan Warriors fan and has passed away then the Club would love to include them in this tribute.

To ensure that your loved one is included please email press@wiganwarriors.com before midday on Thursday 20th September.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
