Post by josie andrews »

SAINTS scrum half Theo Fages has been charged with a Grade A dangerous throw on Wigan full back Zak Hardaker during Friday's semi-final win.

The match review panel highlighted the 53rd minute incident stating the scrum half lifts his opponent into a dangerous position.

He was given a 0 match penalty notice and so is free to play at Old Trafford.

There was no further action has been taken against Tony Clubb for his late challenge on Lachlan Coote in the 65th minute of the game.

The panel report reads: "Player runs to make contact on opponent after the ball is kicked displaying legitimate tackle approach.

"Player makes contact with shoulder on shoulder of opponent. Player’s arm is not tucked into position in which to shoulder charge.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Clubb seems untouchable 😆.

However a 0 match pen notice. Whats the point you might as well just say no further action taken.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Sorted out very well by the referee on the night, despite Coote holding his jaw and receiving a head check by the physio when he had been hit on the shoulder.
Nice try Lachlan.
