I know we have the backs but I can’t see how Sts would have gone backward from 2019. Roby older n’all that but they’d still be the team to beat

(Until they lose to HKR and Wakefield early doors)

Surely 2nd or 3rd as apart from St Helens there is little quality in SL.

I think it might be a different ball game for saints this year.

They had a massive front row compared to everyone else and this gave the platform for their backs to preform.

A few teams have bulked up their front row this year so i don't see it being as easy as last year.

Hope im really proved wrong but i think we need a kicking game( another half) and a better passing game from dummy half...... hopefully young smith will come through and prove me wrong

The main issue for me is the partnership with Hastings. Hope there’s not too much change game by game.

I think that to be able to win the competition, the Jackson, Bevan combination has to be a success. Jackson with anybody else should be an improvement on what we had this year but not good enough to beat saints in a big game. We then need (like all squads) luck with injuries and a couple of players to step up to the next level and exceed what we're expecting of them e.g. two from Hankey or Bibby, Jack Wells and Jake Shorrocks.

Can’t see the gap closing much between Wigan and saints so 2nd or maybe 3rd if Leeds it hull fire as they should
