George Burgess

Saw a quote from Lam that Castleford May be a bit too soon for him to play.

Looked unfit and over weight to me but he’s not played much has he... I expect Bullock to come in

He didn’t look fit but good to see size in Wigan’s side now,the era of the prop looking like a winger seems to be coming to an end.

Huge question mark here? No doubt he actually has the physique of an NRL forward but christ on a bike! Fitness and defence looked very sketchy based on his 10 min stint.

Can only hope his lack of game time has impacted this but for a seasoned NRL forward, this doesn't sit well with me at all!

I think that's the worst debut I've ever seen.
Must get better and fast.

He was in a foul mood after the game & seemed to be struggling with his hip. He’s had this same problem for a while.

On saying that, his brother Sam had nothing but praise for players saying we had a good group of players 😊

He didnt look right in the warm ups and just prior to being sat down, he struggled to get back in the defensive line, before making a tackle in the set. He looked huge when warming up, a little too big if you ask me. We shall have to see what happens.
On the plus side, it was nice to have a quick chat with Sam Burgess after the game.

Is Joe Bullock injured or just overlooked?

No need to play George until he's properly fit, I can't believe that he's a poor as he looked last night. Hopefully Bullock will now get his chance, put a few good performances in place and get Lammy to change his mind. It'll also be interesting to see if Clarke will be given a chance to get one over on his former club. We have to be careful about over-exposing some of our younger players early in the season.
