Girls invited to RL taster

As Wigan Warriors’ Betfred Super League Round 6 fixture against Hull KR falls on International Women’s Day next Sunday (8th March), the Club are planning some great initiatives in-keeping with the theme.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Club would like to offer your child the amazing opportunity to train with the Warriors Women’s team and step onto the DW Stadium turf and welcome the Wigan Warriors first team players onto the pitch against Hull KR.

The afternoon of events on Sunday 8th March includes:

1.00-2.00pm: Join Wigan Women’s team at Robin Park Arena (next door to the DW Stadium and home to the Wigan Warriors Fan Zone) for an exclusive training session.

2.40pm: Children will be collected from your allocated seats to take up the exclusive on-pitch flag waving matchday experience. The flags will welcome the players on to the pitch before the children are returned to their families to enjoy the game.

3.40pm: Join in with a women’s inspired parade around the pitch at half time with the opportunity to be able to have team pictures with some of the first team players, whilst pitch side on the parade.

Please note that by taking part in the pre match flag waving experience we will need to reallocate Season Ticket Holders (for this fixture only) to be sat in the East Stand for collection purposes. For Season Ticket Holders, please include your Season Ticket client code when making the booking.

To register, visit www.wiganwarriors.com/rugbycamps.

The cost of the experience is £5 per child and includes a match ticket to Sunday’s fixture (free for Season Ticket Holders). Accompanying children and adults can purchase significantly reduced cost tickets at £5 and £15 respectively.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
