Post by josie andrews »

A look back at the weekend’s action involving Wigan Warriors players who are currently out on loan at other clubs.

Jack Wells scores his first try for Toronto, while Romain Navarrete features for Wakefield.

Craig Mullen plays at full-back for Leigh.

Wigan Warriors loanee Jack Wells scored his first try for Toronto Wolfpack on Friday night.

The second row came off the bench against Leeds Rhinos at Emerald Headingley Stadium to touchdown for the first time since joining Toronto on a short loan deal last month.

His Wolfpack side were defeat 66-12 by the Rhinos.

Elsewhere in the Betfred Super League, Romain Navarrete featured off the bench for Wakefield Trinity against Hull FC on Friday.

His side agonisingly lost the game 26-27 as a Marc Sneyd drop-goal in golden point extra-time saw Hull take the two points at the Mobile Rocket Stadium.

Meanwhile, in the Betfred Championship, Craig Mullen started at full-back in Leigh Centurions’ 34-20 win over Halifax RLFC at Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.

The Leythers scored 20 second half points to make it four from four so far this season.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
